LYNNE COOPER INITIATIVE FOR AT-RISK-YOUTH
Lynne long advocated for an initiative focused on young people – both those at risk of HIV and those who are living with HIV/AIDS. At Lynne’s request the Doorways Board of Directors created this special fund to drive a powerful new initiative focused on children and youth. The Lynne Cooper Initiative for At-Risk Youth will identify and execute strategies to enhance educational opportunities and life-changing interventions for this fast-growing population.
If you are unable to donate at the levels listed below, we encourage you to give whatever is within your means. DOORWAYS provides direct assistance to nearly 3,000 people annually through a remarkable continuum of care. Your tax-deductible donation of $25, $50 or $100 will go a long way toward helping us provide safe, affordable housing for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Please help us open the doors to more clients.
Unrestricted financial support allows DOORWAYS to allocate resources to the areas of greatest need and to guarantee a secure future for thousands of people with HIV/AIDS who might otherwise become homeless. DOORWAYS’ Keystone Society was formed in 2002 to acknowledge unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more from individuals. Since then, Keystone Society members have generated more than $600,000 for DOORWAYS’ housing programs, and DOORWAYS has expanded the Keystone Society’s structure to provide a number of support levels at which people can engage in DOORWAYS’ mission.
Keystone Society members, at all levels, receive the following benefits as a result of membership:
- Tour of DOORWAYS’ residential properties that gives an up-close look at how their support is helping people living with HIV/AIDS.
- Invitations to special events with DOORWAYS’ Board of Directors, staff, and other Keystone Society members.
- Updates from DOORWAYS’ president.
- The satisfaction of knowing that their 100% tax-deductible gift contributes directly to the compassionate care of hundreds of adults and children living with HIV/AIDS.
Similar to the Keystone Society mentioned above, Keystone Communities allows local and regional faith communities and other groups to demonstrate their commitment to people living with HIV/AIDS through gifts or grants of $1,000 or more. Unrestricted financial support from Keystone Communities helps DOORWAYS to allocate resources to the areas of greatest need and guarantee a secure future for thousands of people with HIV/AIDS who might otherwise become homeless.
DOORWAYS is excited to announce the formation of the Keystone Legacy Society, which celebrates individuals who have chosen to ensure DOORWAYS’ future by creating a legacy gift. Special donors who make a “planned gift” to DOORWAYS through their trust, will or other type of estate planning are each considered members of this special society, receive invitations to all events and are publicly or privately acknowledged. Naming DOORWAYS in your will is a simple but powerful testament to your generosity and concern for others.
