DOORWAYS, an interfaith non-profit organization, provides housing and related supportive services to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS.  Now in it’s 28th year of operation, DOORWAYS has grown from a single apartment building in 1988, to a multi-million dollar organization with six housing complexes located throughout the City of St. Louis, a residential care facility and numerous assistance programs to encourage those affected by HIV/AIDS to live courageously.

CURRENT OPENINGS

Junior Accountant

  • An associate’s degree in accounting required. Equivalent work experience in accounting will also be accepted. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Two years of accounting or business experience is preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office – especially Excel, required.
  • Experience with accounting software FundEZ is a plus.
  • Applicant must be detail-oriented, a problem solver, and analytical in their thought process.
  • Nonprofit or public accounting experience is preferred but not a requirement.

Cooper House Administrator

  • A bachelor’s degree in health care sciences, business administration or some related field preferred.
  • Three-plus years’ experience as an Administrator in a long-term care facility or five years’ managerial experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with HIV/AIDS, mental illness, homelessness and health care is preferred.

Client Service Coordinator

  • Degree in social work or human services with extensive work experience is preferred.
  • A Master of Social Work is highly desired.
  • Experience working with HIV/AIDS, low-income, homeless, substance abuse and mental health populations highly desirable.
  • Exceptional stress management, conflict management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of St. Louis community resources.
  • Dependable transportation, cell phone, flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekend hours.
