DOORWAYS, an interfaith non-profit organization, provides housing and related supportive services to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS.  Now in it’s 28th year of operation, DOORWAYS has grown from a single apartment building in 1988, to a multi-million dollar organization with six housing complexes located throughout the City of St. Louis, a residential care facility and numerous assistance programs to encourage those affected by HIV/AIDS to live courageously.

Cooper House Resident Advocate

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.
  • Previous experience as an attendant or an employee in health care setting preferred.

Client Service Coordinator – Residential Program

  • Degree in social work or human services with extensive work experience is preferred.
  • A Master of Social Work is highly desired.
  • Experience working with HIV/AIDS, low-income, homeless, substance abuse and mental health populations highly desirable.
  • Exceptional stress management, conflict management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of St. Louis community resources.
  • Dependable transportation,k cell phone, flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekend hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office strongly preferred.

Facilities Maintenance Technician

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses adequately functioning to complete necessary duties.

Cooper House LPN

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for licensed practical nursing.
  • Must have a current Missouri LPN license and valid driver’s license.
  • Must have 1 to 2 years IV experience and satisfactory completion of medical course and IV therapy course.
  • Must have experience in long-term care and/or psychiatric nursing helpful, as is work with HIV/AIDS.
