DOORWAYS, an interfaith non-profit organization, provides housing and related supportive services to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS.  Now in it’s 28th year of operation, DOORWAYS has grown from a single apartment building in 1988, to a multi-million dollar organization with six housing complexes located throughout the City of St. Louis, a residential care facility and numerous assistance programs to encourage those affected by HIV/AIDS to live courageously.

CURRENT OPENINGS

Grants and Communications Manager

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. A CFRE or GPC designation is highly desirable.
  • At least five years of progressive grants and communication experience preferred, including a successful track of securing and maintaining major grants.
  • The applicant must have the ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals and external communications.
  • Strong software skills; ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop  and Illustrator.  Knowledge of donor database (Abila) preferred.
  • Capacity to prioritize multiple activities and responsibilities. Well-organized and flexible; detailed-orientated with strong follow0through and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent skills in performing administrative support functions requiring independent judgement, decision-making, and problem resolution.
  • Personal commitment to, and understanding of, the complex issues of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
  • Desire to work with and around individuals of various socioeconomic backgrounds.

Jumpstart Program Coordinator

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related area.
  • More than one year experience in at least some of the following: social services, mental illness, HIV and housing.
  • Experience with Scout preferred.
  • Familiarity with the realm of services available to disadvantaged populations strongly preferred.

Social Services and Outreach Coordinator

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work is required.
  • A minimum of one year experience in intensive case management with HIV/AIDS population.
  • A broad understanding of HIV/AIDS, mental disorders, substance abuse and homelessness.
  • Knowledge of HIV case management and residential care required.
  • Experience with Medicaid Waiver screening preferred.
  • Experience with substance/chemical abuse preferred.
  • Experience with Residential Care Facilities preferred.

Cooper House LPN

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing for licensed practical nursing.
  • Must have a current Missouri LPN license and valid driver’s license.
  • Must have 1 to 2 years IV experience and satisfactory completion of medical course and IV therapy course.
  • Must have experience in long-term care and/or psychiatric nursing helpful, as is work with HIV/AIDS.
